Sonny Condell's Graphic Art

Sonny Condell is perhaps better knows as a performer and a songwriter than a Graphic Artist but in recent years has been developing another aspect to his Artistic endeavours.

"The music and pictures seem to go nicely together somehow", Condell admits. "On a deeper level too, you learn from the unconscious: this deeper world inside you, and that's where I think the music I write comes from and that's where the pictures I make come from too. They don't necessarily make logical sense, but they portray some internal working, as the music does."

Sonny Condell's first exhibition was in The Arklow Art Centre in 2005, and he has had two more successful shows in Priory Studios in Stillorgan, Dublin in 2007. Also an exhibition in The Alliance Francaise, Dublin, and The Triskel Arts Centre, Cork in 2008. The work comprises a montage of digital photography, drawing and painting and as such are one off unique pieces on canvas. Some examples can be seen on this page, future exhibitions will be listed on the calender page of this site.
